The route between Galway and Sligo passes through the heart of County Mayo. The River Moy, renowned for salmon fishing, runs through the area. This scenic region, frequently highlighted as part of the Wild Atlantic Way, offers beautiful, sun-drenched landscapes and picturesque views in the afternoon.
A narrow road leads toward another of Kerrys pensulas. The shimmering blue ocean flanked by green grassy hills and cliffs leads the eye to the distant Skellig Islands.

This abandoned old house near the railway station in Maams Cross County Galway. We stopped at the horse fair taking place nearby and found this old house about ready to fall down surrounded by flowers just off to the side of the road.
Maam Cross railway station on the Galway to Clifden branch of the former Midland Great Western Railway of Ireland. Closed for over 80 years it's now a working railway experience.
Curragh Chase Forest Park There are over 300 hectares of rolling parkland, trails, mixed woodland, lakes and an arboretum at Curragh Chase. This planned landscape was the former home of the de Vere family, hard to imagine it's only 22Km from Limerick city.

The Old Cliff Baths are located to the end of the promenade on the northern end of Enniscrone beach. It was built there on the rocks in 1850 by the Orme family.
